Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School is a one school district enrolling students in grades nine through twelve. There are 650 computers (desktops and laptops) which serve approximately 1600 students and 240 staff members.
Teachers have been using computer technology at L-S since the early 1980s. 99% of the faculty use technology everyday, including some of the following areas: lesson planning, administrative tasks, communications, and collaboration. Teachers share information about technology uses with their colleagues.
Computer technology is vital in today’s society. Students use computing devices in their classes and during their free periods in the library to complete their academic work. The rapid changes in technology make it difficult for school systems to keep pace. In the summer of 2014, a major network renovation took place which incorporated a robust wi-fi network. Students and staff members are allowed and encouraged to bring in their own devices to support their educational pursuits.
